Weekly Report for May 25, 2009
-Asked Pramilla what she anticipated covering in quarterly meetings w/MyFD CS
-Reviewed interview questions (meeting w/ Ted & Pramilla 6/2 to review approach for 1st round interviews)
-Attended FEC Training
-Provided input re: Biennium Close newsletter, and wrote article re: transferring from closed biennium, to Donna Andreason.
-Helped Laurie Hunt determine whether or not one of her paper reports needed to be kept for Records Retention purposes.
-Reviewing 117 resumes (one more day of uploads, then req is closed)
-Created draft Captivate (My 1st!) for interactive Biennium Close Calendar
-Monthly mentoring
-Helping create structure for RQT program representation (Puja/Katy)
-Biennium Close Team (MyFD Calendar was confusing for those attending meeting. Jumped right to looking at the dates at bottom and not reading the specifics)
-FFR Class - new format discussed - 4 hour basics class, with one hour of that being FAQs that the accountants handle AND a 2-3 hour hands-on class using accountants/GCA/MyFD Staff to mentor
-Short week (out sick w/Sophia one day and Holiday on Monday)

Week of May 18, 2009
-Dean's Day testing (repeat - looking for "unsubmit button" bug)
-Attended queries class for BHNS, reviewed course materials and provided class feedback to JK
-eFECS/MyFD job posted in UWHires (interviewing to begin June 1, 2009
-Followed up w/ Jelena re: help page FAQs (timeout & printing w/ colors as well as 2 more advanced questions-see bottom of blog entry for details). I explained that the first 2 FAQs are already in our pages and that the other two are too advanced for our users-we're targeting newer users, vs. experienced.
-ordered supplies
-coordinating efforts to lower desks
-Lead check-in between Melissa, Lisa and Pramilla
-Meeting re: MyFD Dashboard--will measure training satisfactions, call volume

Thinking about/Need to discuss
-Pramilla will begin checking in with me re: what we're all working on, timing and progress against goals. I need the team to make sure you're keeping me up to date.
-can we check to see if 3 hours is available for Managing Budgets class? Two hours won't be enough
Add'l notes:
1. The "previous transfer" flag for the high risk template is only accurate as of the moment a transaction screen is submitted. The rule is that "prior transfers" include anything actually previously transferred, plus anything that is in submitted status at the moment you place the screen into submitted status. The latter one could change before the day is out, i.e. the other screen could get un-submitted and deleted and, if that was the only "prior transfer" then the flag would be false.
2.Reviewer "training" - remember: on undo, in a multiple review situation, the reviewer may see a "you have submitted" message, but if they go back to find the page on the Saved & Submitted page, they won't find it in SUBMIT status if they don't UNDO on the ETForm, they need to UNSUBMIT on the Saved & Submitted page

-Passed on my notes, for activating Org Codes for PCA & entering PCA codes in FIN to Jerrica
-eFECS position description created and req set up in UWHires--waiting for approval from HR and Compensation
-Completed the Asbestos training (online)
-Taught FFR
-Attended, and gave input for FDI Lessons Learned
-took care of group email in afternoon 5/8 while JK took vacation and PP had Md appt
-Mid-year mentoring workshop
-Scheduled FEC & Cost Share training w/Suzette
-Meetings, meetings and more meetings

-Presentation materials for FM meetings (all about MyFD)
-Group metrics/measures

Weekly Report for 5/5/09
-LOTS of time spent in meetings; 14 hours total (FIN Services/Proc. Services, All Hands, Manager HR Mtg, Mentoring, 1x1 w/ Pramilla, PPC Board, Biennium Debrief, MyFD Team meeting, and LEAD Team)
-Provided input to Donna Andreason re: Originating Table info found in our glossary (thanks to JK for listening to my ideas and proofing my writing)

-Biennium Testing
-FFR Prep (meeting with group to organize and print/prepare materials) --took about 4 hours
-completed employee survey
-interviewed for eFECS training needs assessment
-working w/ LEAD Team re: new facilitator-trying to determine if roles will shift/adjust
-transitioned to new office space
To do this week
-work w/ HR on posting job req for eFECS/MyFD position
-work w/ compensation office for new position
-update FFR w/ changes needed from last class
-pull stats for CS Team (call/email volumes, training satisfaction, web stats)

-determine new dates/approach for new training classes. Would it be best to work on some of our items collectively?

-establish interview schedule for first and second rounds (needs to be modified from what currently exists)
-order office supplies (mirrors and glare screens--is this getting any better?)

Future things I'll be working on
-On boarding plan for new employee
-presentation for All Hands Meeting (Financial Services and Procurement Services) re: MyFD and the work we do.
-provide feedback to JK/PP re: exisiting Getting Started Guides (how will these need to change as a result of our new classes?)
-Biennium Close Training
-Using the "hunt" feature for our phones (to gather customer support call data)
-working with POD to figure out additional options for FFR Class (there's a possibility we could offer the class 2x/yr and supplement w/ our curriculum during other parts of the year)
Extra stuff to discuss/inform you of:
-Pramilla would like to meet with each of you quarterly, to check-in on how she can support you
-Pramilla would also like to occasionally attend out staff meetings
-Would like us to present "what we do" at her 5/22 staff meeting w/ her cust supp group
-Will hold a mini EDP session for our group and Procurement Customer Service Group
-Nebula has free computer training rooms in the Tower--may want to consider using them
-This week:
-Mentoring workshop (Thurs 5/7), and eFECS training check-in
-Who will teach Behavioral Nursing class? Jerrica?
-Gina Salois will begin tracking what types of JV requests they're getting--if they're getting them from central offices, they will eventually help GCA inform users that they should be using MyFD for transfers
-Suzette will be inviting us to her next FEC Training event
